Ride the North 2024

I’ve only gone and done it and signed up for another ride. I love cycling but in the past few years I’ve eased away from doing organised rides and sportives.

What I now look out for is things that are different and also do a bit of good – step forward Ride the North. The company I work for, Brightsolid, has offices and data centres and offices in Dundee and Aberdeen, so when I discovered an organised ride that takes place in the geography and also benefits local charities, I was sold. I’ve also tried to drum up interest with my colleagues to take part (hint, hint!).

I’m riding for an incredibly worthwhile charity called Kayleigh’s Wee Stars. Being a parent, it hard to imagine anything worse than a child with a terminal illness. Kayleigh’s Wee Stars aims to take the financial burden away from parents to allow them to spend time with their child when it matters most.

Please visit my Just Giving fundraising page and make a contribution to Kayleigh’s Wee Stars if you can:

The ride is on the 24th August 2024. On that note, I’m off to do some training!
